Some of the places you cannot miss in Marbella
With this list, you will be able to quickly identify the main tourist spots in the city:
Old Town
The Historic Centre of Marbella covers the streets, alleys and squares that were surrounded by the city wall, and its two historic neighborhoods: Barrio Alto and the Barrio Nuevo.
You’ll find the typical Andalusian winding alleys, charming squares, and several historic buildings like the Casa Consistorial (also known as the Marbella Town Hall), the Iglesia de la Encarnacion and the Ermita de Santiago.
You cannot miss visiting, following the Calle Ancha, in Barrio Alto, the Ermita del Santo Cristo de la Veracruz, which is the oldest religious monument in the city.
The Castle and its Walls
The walls of the Castle are the remains of the wall built in the 10th century to protect the city, and some parts are in great condition and can be visited. The castle preserves parts that were built during the Caliphate period (10th century) and others from the Nasrid period (14th century).
Alameda Park
It’s part of the so-called Ensanche Historico and is located between the old town and the sea. Alameda Park was created in the 18th century and is currently one of the most beloved places in Marbella, with its beautiful ceramic floors and benches, the famous Virgen del Rocio Fountain and lush vegetation that makes it a true oasis.
La Avenida del Mar
It’s located between Alameda Park and the promenade, and it also connects the historic centre with the beach. It’s an avenue packed with gardens, fountains, and also an open-air museum because, alongside its route, you can enjoy ten of Salvador Dali’s sculptures.
Puerto Banus
You cannot miss visiting Jose Banus harbour, one of the most important and luxurious marinas in the world.
It was designed by the same Beverly Hills architect, Noldi Schreck, who conceived it as an Andalucian town, where today you can find restaurants and shops aimed at the jet set.
The Promenade
Another space that you’ll absolutely enjoy is the Promenade, a 7km long pedestrian promenade where, in addition to enjoying the views of the beach and the sea, you’ll find shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces like Quizzygolf, a different place you will love.
Quizzygold is a minigolf space designed by experts in the field, designed to entertain and amuse visitors of all ages, and where you can also eat and enjoy a cold drink.
In our facilities we have 9 open-air holes, so you can contemplate the Promenade and the sea while you play.
